The owner (Abbas) sat us at a booth, and was very friendly as he took our drink orders. The two servers were cheerful and accommodating. First, they brought a lentil soup that was probably our favorite individual dish of the whole meal. Delicious. Next, we got an order of felafel (6 for $5.99). They were not only tasty, but the consistency was superior: very crisp on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside. The tahini was nice, but not enough...so the server brought us another (larger) cup at no charge. Each of our entrées (Mixed Kebab plate of chicken and beer, and the Chicken Tikka plate) came with 4 additional sides. The sides vary by day and they were thoughtful to give us a good variety for the 8 sides: 6 different ones plus two baba ghanuge. We asked for bread for dipping. I don't know what they call their bread, but it was so much tastier and fun to eat than the usual pita bread. The sides were hit and miss. The potato salad was nothing special and not what I would expect from an Iraqi restaurant. Still, 8 little sides were a pretty nice addition to the meal. The cucumber and dill salad was good, the beets were interesting, the salad pretty straightforward, the pasta salad was extremely interesting, and the other marinated vegetables were great. The pickled veggies (were savory and spicy...although the garlic clove was disappointing), and the rice was nicely made with slivered almonds, sultanas, and probably a broth added to the water it cooked in.

Ok first, Coco is THE BEST. She is so attentive and explains everything. She is clear, straight to the point and overall amazing. Now let's get to the food. Everything here is fresh, delish, prepared with pride and love. Second time coming here and ai would come again and again. This place is the best in Sacramento and don't let the location deter you from coming. It is the most amazing food. It comes with sides and that too is great. It feels like I am on vacation. Please support this place.

Excellent food! Wait staff pleasant and polite! Very well lit and spacious. The lentil soup was amazing and the Iraqi lamb shank was melt in your mouth tender. The falafel and French fries were great too for the less adventurous members of your dining party.

Service was lovely and timely. I came on lunch break and let the waiter know that I didn't have a lot of time. She took that in consideration and was very attentive. The food was delicious. The side dishes offered with my place are phenomenal. Every single one of them had plenty of flavors. The fluffy Naan went great with all the side dishes. We got the falafel and Gyro plates to go. Very tasty and crispy falafel. Gyro was very good as well. I intend to return and take my time to enjoy their kebabs which I have read great things about. Ambiance is great. Love the wood theme and decor. This is definitely a Mediterranean cuisine haven. A must try!!!!

The food was delicious. The chef's choice of sauces and apps were all very tasty -- eggplant salad, pickled carrots, plus a few others. The lentil soup was amazing. The bread didn't come out with the apps or the lentil, so we had to ask for it after 10 minutes. Would've been nice to get all of the apps at the same time. They ran out of Chicken Shawarma, which sucked. But we ended up getting mixed tikka skewers (lamb and chicken), a chicken tikka sandwich, and side of fries. The skewers were tasty, but very thick and well done -- I prefer tender meat. Would've been nice to have garlic fries or greek fries on the menu instead of regular fries, but tasty nonetheless. Disappointed with the sandwich. The garlic sauce wasn't great. Felt like I was eating a big skewer that was bathed in gravy inside of a wrap. They seemed to be understaffed. The waitress didn't check on us after the food arrived. I kept a menu at the table in case I wanted to order seconds, but she never asked if I wanted more food. Huge opportunity missed to upsell me. Also not fond of waitresses playing the cashier at the table and watching the screen as I answer how much tip I want to give. It's almost 2025, let's do away with this payment process. 4/5 for me. Food was great, service not so much.

For our book club, we decided to try Summer Nights and had a great experience. The value for the price is unbeatable-- the portions are incredibly generous, especially the appetizers that come with an entrée. The service was excellent: quick, attentive, and friendly, and the food was packed with flavor. My only critique was the lamb. The pieces were quite thick, whereas I'm used to thinner slices at Mediterranean restaurants. That said, I enjoyed my falafel sandwich; it was delicious. I'd definitely return to explore more of their menu options!
